DW1431 Carbon Black Dispersion Tester can satisfies your requirements and can do this test.
Examine the articles and agglomerates in each of specimens in turn through the microscope under transmitted light with a magnification of 100×. We get the evaluation by measuring and recording the largest dimension of each particle and agglomerate and maximum number. Then grade according to the size categories given in specific Table (attached please find the standard ISO18553 for reference which our DW1431 can specially conform to).
However ASTM D5596 doesn’t mention how to evaluate the result. Frankly speaking, we have never do evaluation of the dispersion of carbon black in polyolefin geosynthetics, but we have evaluated the dispersion of carbon black in polyolefin pipes, fittings and compounds.
